PSX Games Backup Using CDRWIN from Goldenhawk

The following is what I believe to be the best PSX backup method using CDRWIN.

1. Open CDRWIN 4.0E and click on "Extract Disc/Tracks/Sectors"

2. Leave the check on "Disc Image/Cuesheet" on the top of the page.

3. Set your CD-reader and write down an image name, eg. E:\image

4. Under Read Options:

copy.... check "Raw" and "MCN/ISRC"

Error recovery.... check "Ignore"

Jitter Correction.... check "Auto"

Subcode Analysis.... check "Auto".... if the first time it displays read error, then check "fixed"

Set "Data Speed" and "Audio Speed" to whatever (ie, max or slow... I usually have it one Max) and type in 50 for "Read Retry Count." Don't worry about "Subcode Threshold."

5. Click on Start - CDRWIN will copy the PSX files into a image file on your hard drive. You will get 2 files on your hard drive, image.bin and image.cue. If you need to apply any patches, do it now.

6. Once that's done, close the window and click on "Record Disc"

7. Load the cue sheet (ie, the image file in your hard drive eg. E:\image.cue)

8. Test/Burn to get a quality working PSX CD
